A day at Piscinas among nature and abandoned mines from Cagliari
Piscinas (Italy)
Location
A journey to the south-west of Sardinia, in the Villacidro area, to discover the history and stories of the miners, the archaeology and the flavours of a unique land. Departing from Cagliari, you will experience an exploration of the nature and history of Sardinia. You will visit an archaeological site more than 3,000 years old to discover the mystery surrounding the Nuragic civilisation. You will explore Piscinas, following a wild itinerary that will leave you breathless. You will find suggestive ruins of structures from the mining period. You will discover the beach of Piscinas, a unique place in Sardinia and throughout the Mediterranean: a fascinating desert, coloured by striking junipers shaped by the wind, which interrupt the ochre yellow of the high dunes. From Piscinas we move on to the village of Montevecchio, an old mining structure, restored and made usable, which houses a craft brewery where you can sample the flavours of local craft beers. You won't be disappointed: book now and enjoy this authentic experience!
